In April 2020, Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana pays tribute to an artist from the Canton of Ticino, Paolo “Pam” Mazzuchelli, through a major anthology of his works. The exhibition presents a selection of artworks produced throughout Mazzuchelli’s career and right up to the present day. The exhibition, that comprises mainly large-format works, highlights the various techniques used by the artist: oil on canvas, engraving, charcoal and ink drawing. The exhibition path does not follow a chronological order but rather focuses on themes and recurring subjects, among which the world of plants, mystical figures and visionary and apocalyptic landscapes. Among the works on display is the monumental cycle of drawings thanks to which Mazzuchelli won the Federal Fine Arts Scholarship in 1992 and in 1993.
