Starting from the title of Ilya Kabakov’s work - an autobiographical account of the artist’s vision of the great avant-garde movements of the past and specifically his love for the painting of the 1600s - in spring 2023 the Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati collection will be presenting its customary exhibition devoted to works, many recently acquired, that forge a constant dialogue between the present and the past, where the concept of the artist’s studio is explored through various forms and media. Featured artists include Vincenzo Agnetti, Nairy Baghramian, Louise Bourgeois, Giorgio de Chirico, Emilio Isgrò, Ilya Kabakov, Arturo Martini, Fausto Melotti, Marisa Merz, Ugo Mulas, Henrik Olesen, Giulio Paolini, Paola Pivi, Pietro Roccasalva, Pamela Rosenkranz, Alberto Savinio, Gino Severini, Tatiana Trouvé, Cy Twombly, Franco Vimercati, Rachel Whiteread.
