Protection Plan for Visitors within the Exhibition Areas

This protection plan has been drafted in full compliance with the Ordinance for the procedures to fight the epidemic of COVID-19 in the particular situation (Ordinance COVID-19 particular situation) of 19 June 2021 and will be updated with eventual corrections until the date of its enforcement. These provisions are valid from 10 January 2022 and until further notice.

Personal Protective Equipment

To access the Museum, it is mandatory, from 16 years of age, to show a Covid ceritificate "2G" - vaccinated or recovered. The certificate can be shown electronically (through the app) or printed and it will be checked along with an identity document, at the ticket office, before purchasing the ticket. In all exhibition rooms it is mandatory to wear protective masks above the age of 12. In the case of schools, the obligation applies from first grade onwards.

Safety Distances

Access to the museum is managed in compliance with social distancing rules currently in force (1.5 metres between visitors). As a rule, a maximum of 60 people (excluding security staff and other personnel) may be present in the museum at any given time.

All high-contact surfaces, handrails, door handles, lift buttons and lavatories are regularly sanitized.

Visiting the Museum

Circulation of visitors between floors is regulated by means of the lift (1 person at a time if not members of the same household; 4 people at a time if members of the same household/group of people) or via the stairs. Security staff are strategically placed across the various floors in order to regulate a safe flow of visitors.

Public Engagment and Guided Tours

The Museum organises guided tours for a maximum of 15 people. Guided tours reserved for schools that are in presence, or for children and teenagers born from 2001, can exceed this number. The representative of the group should ensure the traceability of the participants, if they are below 12 years of age. During creative workshops in which social distancing cannot be guaranteed, the mask must be worn from the age of 6.

Events are suspended until further notice.
